Video: 2022 BMW 2 Series Spied Testing on US

The oldest car in the current BMW range is, without a doubt, the current 2 Series Coupe model. A new version is on the way in 2021 and will continue to be the best bang for the buck in the entire BMW range. The upcoming 2 Series, like the car you can see in the video below, will keep its longitudinal engines intact.

Spy photos of the upcoming 2022 BMW M440i Gran Coupe

The only 4 Series left to be unveiled is the four-door variant – the 4 Series Gran Coupe. It will also be gaining an M Performance version, to match its two-door sibling, the BMW M440i Gran Coupe, which has just been seen testing in the wild. In these photos, we can clearly see that this 4 Series Gran Coupe is the M440i version, due to its trapezoidal exhausts and more aggressive wheels.

SPIED: Next-Gen BMW 7 Series Spotted with Old-School Design Elements

It seems as if someone on BMW’s design team still remembers what a proper BMW looks like, as the upcoming next-generation 7 Series actually has some old-school design elements that make us smile, as evidenced by some new spy photos. In these new spy photos, you can clearly see the next-gen BMW 7 Series wearing a heavy layer of camouflage, testing in the snow. The rear end of the 7 Series test mule bears a striking resemblance to the original E23 7 Series.

SPIED: BMW X3 M LCI Seen Testing with Bigger Grille

In these new photos, we see the upcoming BMW X3 M LCI doing some winter testing alongside a few other M cars, including the X4 M LCI, BMW M4 Convertible and the standard M4 Coupe. Headlights are new as well, with a slimmer, sleeker design than before. There seem to be new taillights as well, but the camouflage in these photos obscures any new design details that might exist.

First Drive of the BMW M5 CS

BMW of North America has just released a video featuring the first drive of the new 2021 BMW M5 CS. The promo video kicks off with BMW M CEO Markus Flasch introducing the new M5 CS, before handing the keys over to Connor De Phillippi. The footage takes us to the BMW Performance Center in South Carolina, where De Phillippi goes behind the wheel and tell us why this CS car is a special one.

Video: BMW M5 Competition Review

The new BMW M5 Competition is not a thoroughly revised model but it has been given a typical LCI refresh.Sure, for a lot of people going into six-digit territory might be an issue, but considering what you’re getting for the money, the M5 is actually a pretty good deal. That’s one of the reasons why it has been so popular, helping the BMW M division reach new sales records last year, with all the Covid-19 madness included.

VIDEO: Check out the Rims for the BMW M3 and M4

For the new BMW M3 and M4, there are a few wheel designs on offer, from the standard wheel to the top-of-the-range M Performance wheels. In this new video, the designers of said wheels take you through a tour of them all and their details. While these wheels aren’t as iconic as the throwing star wheels seen on ’90s M cars or the stunning M parallels from the early ’00s, they’re still nice designs that compliment the new BMW M3 and M4 well.

Drag Races

1,000-bhp BMW M5 vs rallycross racers drag race is almost explosive

The BMW M5 here was tuned by Evolve, and while it has previously made 800 metric horses, it’s again modified by the British tuner to 1,000 bhp, outpowering all three rallycross contenders. What we have here today aren’t normal rally race cars. The most notable of the featured rallycross racers is the rare Ford RS200 Evolution. The 740-bhp mid-engine, purpose-built race car is valued at around £400,000.

BMW M850i vs RS7 in a drag race

The M850i Gran Coupe is still a fast car. It uses a 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 making 530 horsepower and 750 Nm of torque, which is just 70 horsepower down to the M8 or the RS7. The M850i Gran Coupe also comes with xDrive all-wheel drive as standard and, in turn, with Launch Control. The RS7 also comes with a claimed 0-100 km/h sprint of 3.6 seconds, so it will be an uphill struggle for the BMW. As you’re about to see, there’s no surprise when it comes to the standing start drag races over the 1/4 mile. Who wins?

Manhart Goes For Gold With High-Power BMW X5 M Tuning

In the SUV department, Manhart is probably best-known for its BMW X3 M project, which is a true catapult on wheels. Manhart doesn’t provide acceleration and top speed numbers, but we suppose the MHX5 800 is quicker off the line than the stock model, which needs 3.8 seconds to reach 62 miles per hour and 3.7 seconds in Competition form. Manhart also offers a Race downpipe upgrade that ditches the catalytic converters and the gasoline particulate filter, but it is available only for certain markets.

BMW iX interior discretely integrates high-tech features

The interior design for the upcoming iX model, BMW’s latest fully electric car, signals a new visual language for the German auto brand. The display forms part of the next-generation BMW iDrive, which was announced during CES 2021 and is intended to offer a futuristic driving experience through voice control and other intelligent functions. Technologies including rapid prototyping and virtual reality were used to develop the car’s interior – allowing the design team to quickly test concepts, and make adjustments based on realistic viewing angles.

All-electric BMW i4 sedan teased

BMW, just like its rivals, is aggressively pursuing electric mobility and has lined up a plethora of EVs to join the lineup over the next few years. Ahead of the EV’s world premiere, the German luxury carmaker has teased this upcoming electric sedan and noted that the i4 is currently completing the final phase of driving dynamics testing. The i4, according to the company, delivers performance and comfort that the BMW brand is now associated with.

10 Things You Didn’t Know About BMW

For those who wonder what BMW stands for, it is Bayerische Motoren Werke AG. Nowadays, the brand is one of the most innovative and recognized companies in its field across the globe, but BMW has come a long way since its beginning. Later on, Rapp established a partnership with Fran-Joseph Popp and Camilo Castiglioni, and they became BFW. In 1916, it became BMW, a company that emerged as one of the best engine manufacturers with its BMW IIIa and the BMW 801 engines. In 1928, BMW acquired Fahrzeugfabrik Eisenach, a well-positioned car manufacturer, and joined the automotive world.
