BMW isn’t a stranger to electric vehicles, as the i3 paved the way and the company has since introduced the i4 and iX. They’ll soon be followed by the i7, which is an electric version of the next-generation 7-Series.
Could this be a beautiful combination of Japanese and German design? After these pictures, it’s hard to tell what this new model might be called.
Alpina CEO Andreas Bovensiepen told BimmerToday back in July there’s simply no demand yet for electric ALPINA models from customers. It’s highly unlikely for an automaker’s top brass to have a change of heart in a matter of months, so perhaps this BMW iX3 with ALPINA bits is not what it may seem at a first glance.
Not too long after spying the first prototypes of the upcoming G60-generation BMW 5 Series, our spy photographers have been able to get a better look at the new car’s interior. Like numerous upcoming BMWs, including the BMW i4 and iX, it features a ‘curved dash’.
On November 29, BMW M will unveil a new product engineered on a purpose-built architecture. The name is hardly a surprise: BMW XM. First rumors around the M Power SUV surfaced back in 2019 and over time, several pieces of information were revealed by insiders.

Ever since rumors started to emerge about BMW M’s flagship car adopting the “XM” designation, we began to wonder: Won’t Citroën have a problem with this nameplate? After all, the French automaker used it first back in 1989 for its flagship car it continued to sell until 2000 to make room for the C5. It’s obviously an important nameplate for the company with the double chevron logo for which it still owns the trademark rights.
G-Power, a brand known for upgrading BMW M models for the last 40 years, will now be offering their performance upgrade programs on the new BMW M4 and BMW M3 models.
BMW will celebrate the 50th anniversary of its hallowed BMW M performance division in 2022 with a selection of new customisation options — joining a barrage of new petrol-only and hybrid cars.
