BMW previewed its next M flagship with the reveal of the polarizing Concept XM last week, and the reception to it has been frosty, to say the least. Filed with the World Intellectual Property Organization, the listing shows that the shape of the grille is also different from the one found on the XM. In fact, it looks a lot like the grille design for the new 7 Series, judging by spy shots that have been seen for this model.
Whenever a new BMW M3 or M4 comes out, the obligatory comparison with a Porsche 911 must take place. In case you didn’t know, Porsche has been refining the 911 formula for over 60 years, and it doesn’t show any signs of stopping anytime soon.
Companies like BMW always have to be on the lookout for the ones wanting to take their spot. In order to catch up, the Genesis GV80 should cost just about the same and then, the brand alone would turn the comparison into a win for the BMW.
The BMW M3 Competition in this video is an xDrive model, meaning both cars were all-wheel drive. So there’s no traction advantage one way or the other. There is a weight advantage, but that was potentially mitigated by the two additional passengers in the back seat of the M3. Could the X3 M keep up despite its heavier weight?
AC Schnitzer revealed its latest tuning package for the G82 BMW M4 Competition, which featured a power bump, new coilovers, and, of course, an aggressive aero kit.
In this new comparison test from Car Throttle, they put the BMW M3 Competition xDrive up against the Alfa Romeo Giulia Quadrifoglio on the road, in less scientific circumstances.
Mosselman took the power output of the B58 3-liter straight six under the hood to new heights. Normally, the BMW Z4 M40i comes with 340 HP and 500 Nm of torque in Europe. This car has a bit more… A lot more, to be honest. It can now rely on 400 HP and 610 Nm of torque, courtesy of the aforementioned upgrade.

BMW X3 M40i looks better now that it’s been refreshed. BMW didn’t do too much to the outside of the X3 M40i but what it did do make a big difference. The new headlights, more aggressive grilles, and larger front air intakes give it a more handsome, exciting face. But this X3 M40i LCI isn’t all bark and no bite — BMW also upgraded the engine.
Minimalism has been adopted on a wide scale, like the trend in the industry seems to dictate, and a lot of buttons have disappeared in the process.
The BMW Group is in a festive mood as it’s popping the cork on the champagne on the occasion of delivering the one-millionth electrified vehicle to a customer. The milestone vehicle is this stealthy iX in the xDrive40 specification, handed over to its rightful owner this week at BMW Welt.
